OR-22 Peltsa
Pältsa is the area around Treriksröset where the Scandinavian countries Sweden, Norway and Finland meet.
During the 20th century, Pältsa was an area of operation for smaller patrols that during the First World War, in the summer of 1916, carried out sabotage against the Russian military logistics base in Kilpisjärvi.
During the Second World War, a patrol base was established in Pältsa with the aim of supporting the Norwegian resistance movement and as a starting point for reconnaissance missions that were later reported to the allies.
It is from that background that we chose to call our new backpack system the OR-22 Pältsa. OR-22 Pältsa is a pack that provides opportunities to adapt to different conditions summer or winter time. The user must be able to slim down own equipment or increase the same in terms of weather conditions.
Pältsa has a frame system, O-22, which gives the operator the ability to adapt the carrying system for exceptional comfort. It does not matter if the length is from 150 to 200 cm long.
The pack can be adapted to different types of tasks and positions. The large sack is 55 liters and has a centered zipper in the back of the sack. This allows you to open the bag to get a better overview of the material you are carrying. The OR-22 Pältsa also has two side pockets of 13 liters each that are attached to the sides with a toggle system. It gives you the opportunity to slim down your OR-22 Pältsa for missions in very dense and tight terrain, for example jungle missions.
The top cover is equipped with a carrying system that allows you to use this top cover as a mission bag or grab bag if you have to dump the larger bag. OR-22 Pältsa has a waist belt fitted with a metal buckle. But the system can use plastic buckles or leather straps if you prefer.
